Winter is definitely the time for warm, comforting soups. All of the recipes used in this two night class are easy, straight forward, and possible for a beginner to repeat at home.
The class will make a variety of winter warmers including: Barley Mushroom, Curried Butternut Soup, Three Lily Onion Soup, French Lentil Soup, Creamy Parsnip and Carrot Soup with fresh thyme, and Wild Rice Soup with chicken and fresh herbs and vegetables.
Students will also make vegetable stock from scratch and bake fresh corn bread. There will be Italian red and white wine to accompany the soup. Come hungry!
