All the recipes for this class have very simple and quick preparation instructions and cooking times. They are great for the novice cook, or for the students looking for new and different vegetarian recipes.
In this hands-on cooking class, students will work in pairs to prepare a colorful Japanese vegetable stew with ubon noodles, tofu and seitan (wheat protein); Lemony French Provencal bean spread and black olives made into a wrap sandwich with shredded carrots and sprouts; simple wasabi eggs that are great for pot luck suppers; rich curried squash soup; herbed whole wheat cous cous with soy sausage; and for dessert, chocolate dipped fruit.
